Anagama firing workshop

The kiln was loaded on 30 September and lit on 1 October. For three and a half days the team fed the fire around the clock: a slow climb through the first night, side stoking from day three, and the final push to 1300 °C before the kiln was sealed on 4 October. Rain, wind and mud tested everyone. Participants worked alongside Taiga Mori, Frank Richter and Magali Kivatinetz, learning to read a kiln that had never been fired before. The afternoons were open to the public, and many people came to watch the flames.
